Women-Owned Businesses Bring Thought Diversity

I recently joined a woman-owned and operated business, and as I sit in meetings with various teams, partners and clients, it’s remarkable how many women of all ages, backgrounds and cultures have a seat at the table.

I recently joined a woman-owned and operated business, and as I sit in meetings with various teams, partners and clients, it’s remarkable how many women of all ages, backgrounds and cultures have a seat at the table. As someone who has worked in the utility industry for nearly two decades and served in the U.S. Air force, that hasn’t always been the case. It’s not only wonderful to see and participate in an evolving industry, but also better for the industry in terms of the thought diversity needed to solve the industry’s greatest challenges.

I recently read this article, “Women-owned businesses drive today’s Economy!,” by Dr. Pamela Williamson, Ph.D on LinkedIn, which spells out the amazing and power impacts women-lead businesses are have in today’s business world.  I couldn’t agree more with her key points. Women-owned businesses are:

I believe women-owned businesses are driving new thinking, more opportunities and creative solutions for today’s challenges. I look forward to celebrating women and women-owned businesses next month on International Women’s Day.
